"Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”" Matthew 28:18-20

The Navigators First Responder Ministry and FCPO
Since 2014 I have had the honor of serving as the Executive Director for the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officer-USA (FCPO). As a ministry to Law Enforcement across the country our mission is to create a Christian mindset in Peace Officers using Biblical truths to transform their lives, families and communities. For over 45 years we have developed FCPO Chapters of Christians in Law Enforcement and their families that come together for a time of Bible study and worship. We also know that while meeting together for Bible study is good there is something that has been lacking, and that is one to one disciple making.
Think of the game of golf for a minute. There are three major parts to golf:
1. Driver game - Sunday school and Church : This is the long game, driving the ball down the fairway.
2. Iron game - FCPO Bible Studies: This is the short game to get the ball in a smaller area on the green.
3. Putting game - Discipleship: This is getting the ball into the hole.
That is where the Navigator First Responder Ministry comes in! They have invited FCPO to join them in teaching Peace Officers across the country how to make disciples of Jesus Christ who go on to make more disciples of Jesus Christ who go on to make more disciples and this process never stops. We are talking about Spiritual generations of disciple makers.
The year is 2020. For the first time we saw our country shut down because of a pandemic. Federal, state and local governments, for the most part, deemed church non-essential and ordered them closed. The governments closed the buildings but the church should have never considered itself closed. One to one discipleship can be done in person, on the phone, or using the current technological advancements. Discipleship never has to stop or slow down.
What’s that? Maybe you’ve never been discipled and don’t know how? Please allow me to encourage and challenge you to join in with us. Let the Navigator First Responder Ministry and FCPO guide you in the discipleship process and at the same time teach you how to make disciples who make disciples.
